Norfolk status
Possibly over-recorded in Norfolk, easily confused with the next species, R. pinicolana.

buoliana shows a large and triangular pre-tornal marking, often forming a continuous band across the forewing.

Found in pine forests and plantations, the larva bores into the base of a pine needle, later entering the lateral buds.

Recorded in 35 (51%) of 69 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1874.
Last Recorded in 2018.
