Pammene herrichiana
Beech-mast Piercer

(Heinemann, 1854)1236a / 49.368
Norfolk status
See previous species.

Recently split from Pammene fasciana and confusion has arisen since.

P. herrichiana appears greyer in the forewing but variation can occur, no constant differences in genitalia, only certain way of determination is from breeding ex-larvae from beech mast. We would welcome any further comments on these two species.
