Norfolk status
Relatively plain brownish in appearance with silvery-grey striations toward the rear.
The moth flies in the afternoon sunshine, found in rough meadows and quarries, chalk downs, sandhills, embankments and waysides.

Recorded as "Local but common" at Breckland sites in 1884. (C. Barrett)

After a gap of 26 years(!), recorded at multiple sites in 2012 including Narborough (J.Wheeler, 25/05/12) and Wiggenhall St Mary Magdalen (C.Sheppard, 10/06/12), annual since but in low numbers.

First confirmed VC27 record at Banham Hall in 2015 (K. Saul et. al., 30/05/15)
