=Necklace Veneer*

Norfolk status
Rare immigrant from mainland Europe, recorded predominantly on the south coast of the UK.

Formerly named the Necklace Veneer, identified by its pale coloration and terminal band 'necklace' of black and metallic spots.

No evidence of breeding in the UK with migrant records mostly in early spring and late autumn. Possibly also imported with grain products.

New for Norfolk in 2022 at lower Hellesdon (L.King, 31/08/22) and VC28 in 2024 at Sporle (M.Kerr, 06/09/24)

Large influx in Norfolk on easterly winds in September 2024.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.

Recorded in 15 (20%) of 74 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 2022.
Last Recorded in 2024.
