Rare. (aka Tropical warehouse moth or almond moth)
Feeds on stored vegetable material.
Flies at night and found resting on the walls and windows of warehouses containing dried fruit, stored nuts, seeds and other foodstuffs during the day.
Imported with fruit etc throughout Britain.

Old records of four specimens taken from King's Lynn area (THM-Carlisle)

One of six very similar species of Ephestia found in the UK, which are generally separable only by dissection of the genitalia.
