Rare.
More frequent in the south of England in habitats where Wild thyme (Thymus polytrichus) grows.

Around ten West Norfolk records dating from Barrett 1899.

Care is required with the identification of these three look-alike Merrifielda as all can show a size overlap and all occur in calcareous areas.
