Norfolk status
Possibly overlooked due to confusion with other related species.
Cases can be found on tree-trunks, fences and walls.

Please note: larvae originally identified as this species found grazing algae on top of a shaded post at Thompson Water VC28 in 2014 (S. Youngs, 10/10/14, Det. J. Langmaid) emerged in July 2015 and is Bacotia claustrella.

Barrett mentions 'abundant but only female obtained' Brandon 1874.
