Note the length of the wing streak extends to almost two-thirds of the wing. The streak in the similar Phyllonorycter messaniella barley reaches the middle.
Leaf-mine: July, September - October small blotch on the underside of a leaf.
Verification Grade Comment: Mine: Reared or puparium cremasters examined.
Mine: Moth needs to be reared and, in some cases, possibly dissected.
