Nationally scarce in damp, bare, muddy places besides ponds, tracks and sand-dunes.

Adult moths are virtually impossible to identify without recourse to dissection. Larvae feed within seed capsules of Toad Rush, living within a movable case.

New for Norfolk in 2018 when a female was caught at Crostwight Common (Gen. Det. Mick A'Court, 18/09/2018)
