Coleophora galbulipennella
Catchfly Case-bearer

Zeller, 1838551 / 37.092
=Kent Case-bearer

Norfolk status
Unknown.
Mainly restricted in Britain to shingle beaches in Kent, where it was first discovered in 1940.

Three possibly dubious Victorian records from Merton, Norwich and Denton (C.G. Barrett).

An adult specimen was recorded at Ipswich, Suffolk in 2008 (Ent. Rec. Vol 121 p83-84). Possibly remains undiscovered in the Brecks where it's alternative foodplant, Spanish catchfly grows.

As with many members of this family, they can be almost impossible to
determine without referral to the genitalia.
