Norfolk status Extinct in the British Isles. Recorded throughout western Europe.
Now split into complex of three species. Elachista regificella, E. geminatella and E. tengstromi.
The only British specimens of E. geminatella were taken by Lord Walsingham at Merton, Norfolk in the latter half of the 19th century. Walsingham leg. & Coll. (BMNH)
