Locally common in many habitats.
Feeds under the bark of various trees, possibly on fungi or decaying wood.
Attracted to light.

About half the size of similar species, Batia lambdella.

Please note: The rare intermediate sized Batia internella has not been recorded in Norfolk, specimens would be needed to confirm.
