Woodland margins and hedgerows in open countryside.
The larva feeds in a folded leaf of field maple.

Only three modern day records from Stoke Holy Cross (Musgrove, 2001), Hindolveston (Clifton, 2010) and Catfield (K.Hand, 2012)

Recorded in 9 (13%) of 69 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1874.
Last Recorded in 2013.
