New for Norfolk in 2019 when a female moth was caught at Crostwight Common. (M. A'Court, 25/08/2019 - Gen. Det. Female)

A rather local species, occurring on shingle coasts and salt-marshes along the southern coast of England and Wales.

The larvae feed on Sea Beet (Beta maritima). In Europe it has been reported as a pest species on cultivated forms of Beet and other plants.
