Scarce.
Larger member of the 'ruficapitella' group.
One of a complex of three species, which can only be reliably separated by dissection of the genitalia.
Thought to be only a single extended generation, with adults in May and June.

Leaf-mine: July-Sept.
Long irregular gallery mine.

Mine: Moth needs to be reared and, in some cases, possibly dissected.

Recorded in 7 (10%) of 69 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1982.
Last Recorded in 2017.
