Local.
Damp areas - pond and stream banks, woodland clearings, waste ground and gardens.
Adults can often be found overwintering inside garden sheds etc.
Larvae feed within the seedpods of broad-leaved willowherb and other willowherbs.

First Recorded in 1874.
