Norfolk status
Localised mainly to Brecks although more widespread in recent years.

The warm ochreous markings of this species should immediately rule out the vaguely similar Cochylichroa atricapitana and Neocochylis dubitana.

There are two mainland forms of this species. The nominate form angustana is found in Norfolk, occuring in woodland edges, meadows and similar locations where the foodplants can be found.

The Larvae feed on the flowers and seed heads of a variety of plants.

First Recorded in 1972.
