Norfolk status
Locally widespread.
Very similar to next species Aethes francillana, distinguished by broader and less oblique markings to the forewing.
Waste ground, woodland fringes and hedgerows.

Larvae feed on Hemlock. Has also been found to feed on Alexanders.

Recorded in 50 (68%) of 74 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1996.
