Mainly coastal habitats, grassland on light sand or stony soils where Sheep's-bit found. Only four modern day records in Norfolk from Winterton Dunes NNR (Sterling, 1993) and three records from Yarmouth, North Denes (Heath, 2001 - 2008). Interestingly Barrett lists Yarmouth Denes in his 1874 checklist, along with Middleton (VC28) in 1884. Both records are noted as "Scarce".
