Norfolk status
Widespread.
Regularly recorded at coastal areas and to a lesser extent inland chalk downs and rough pasture land where food-plant occurs.

Separated from Neocochylis hybridella by the lack of a white thorax and from Neocochylis dubitana by the black head and labial palpi. (White in Neocochylis dubitana). Beware of worn specimens that could cause confusion.
