Norfolk status
Scarce.
Frequenting particularly plantations of mature spruce, the moth flies in the afternoon sunshine, usually rather high.

Record from 1884 at Merton.

Following several records from across the UK in 2016, we had the first modern-day record at Mundford VC28. Adults emerging in May from Norway Spruce cones collected earlier in March. (G. Geen, 02/05/16)

New for VC27 in 2016 at Costessey (M. Casey, 08/05/16) followed by several records across east Norfolk.

Recorded in 13 (18%) of 74 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1884.
Last Recorded in 2022.
