Status
Rare immigrant.
Day-flying species, usually rests butterfly-like with wings held closed.
Resident in mature woodland areas of central Scotland.

Recorded from Foxley Wood in 1968 noted as a female, probably an immigrant, with the comment "Nobody believes this one"!

Two records in June 1997.

Several UK Migrant records in 2009 with Norfolk records taken at Watton 12/06/09 and Scolt Head 13/06/09. Very few subsequent records until 2022 with several recorded, and a huge influx to UK in June 2023.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.
